Day 1 at The Cove, Atlantis

Now that you saw where we stayed in Atlantis, I wanted to share with you what we did the past few days while we were at Paradise Island. It was so exciting crossing the bridge from Nassau to Paradise Island {seen below} – Royal Towers on the right, The Cove in the middle & The Reef {owned residences} on the far left, with the marina & the adorably colorful houses next to the water.

With our 9am flight, just after 2 hours in the air we arrived at The Cove before noon on Thursday. It was so great to get there early enough to spend the rest of the day enjoying the sun.

Since there are a few different places to stay at Atlantis, there are different bracelets which give you access to various parts of Paradise Island and all the different activities offered – lucky for us, The Cove bracelet gets you in everywhere.

We were able to get early check-in, into our room & then headed over to Cain at the Cove – which is an adults only “ultra-pool” with an outdoor gaming pavilion and 20 private cabanas, only open to guests of The Cove.

Beers at the bar were enjoyed. Kalik, the beer of the Bahamas, is pretty amazing to enjoy poolside.

After enjoying some sun, we headed over to the beach. It was a gorgeous day and there is so much to see & do throughout the island. We spent the afternoon exploring the resort, hitting up the lazy river and water slides {more on that later!}

It was a picture perfect afternoon with blue skies, gorgeous water & palm trees blowing in the breeze.

Charles & I then made our way back to our room to enjoy the sunset from our balcony before setting out to enjoy the rest of our first night out.

Not a bad view if you ask me.

Our first night there included a welcome reception for Charles’ company & families – it was held outside, under the stars & palm trees with lots of good food, music & a toast to celebrate everyone’s hard work.

Post reception we made our way towards the casino for some more fun.

Charles enjoys playing blackjack with friends – {I would rather spend my money shopping, because then you always win, but that’s just me!} – but I do enjoy watching him play.

Plus its just fun to be in the casino – it’s massive & has tons of beautiful artwork all around.

I am not sure which I like better – Atlantis at night or during the day  – both are equally beautiful & special.

And that’s how we spent our first day at Atlantis!

Stay tuned for more fun!
