Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing moms out there – especially mine!
I couldn’t be with her down in Virginia, so I’m sending her lots of love from Philly today.
Love you Mom! xoxo
my mom + me on my wedding day.
love this photo of us!
I wasn’t able to celebrate Mother’s Day with my mom, but I was able to celebrate it with my mom-in-law, MM! A group of her friends from Haddonfield, NJ got together to walk in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure 5k in Philadelphia today – my sister-in-law, Kate came too – it was a lovely way to spend Mother’s Day morning.
This was my first time doing a walk – I’m used to running 5k’s, but walking through the streets of Philadelphia today with 40,000 people, all decked out in pink was a great way to spend the day.
The Sea of Pink is pretty awesome, isn’t it?
I love all the races and events that start around the Art Museum area – its so much fun to live in the neighborhood and be able to wake up, roll out of bed and join in on the fun.
Did I mention that I love a race that encourages lots and lots {and lots!} of PINK?!
It was so nice to soak up the sun, take in the sights, walk a few miles and chat with family and friends. It was very relaxing and leisurely. I had a great time.
Seriously, it was the most perfect day – check out that view.
After the walk, which started and ended at the Art Museum it was time to party.
Our festivities included a lovely brunch – complete with mimosas & cupcakes.

How did you spend Mother’s Day weekend?

Thanks for the tribute Leslie – I missed you today too, but so glad that you were able to spend it with MM and walk for an awesome cause! Love the photo of you girls all decked out in pink!
You and your mom are so beautiful! And walking a 5K doesn’t sound like a bad idea at all; I would imagine you get to soak up a lot more of the experience! I ran the Brian Anderson Memorial 5K in Washington Twp, NJ today. It’s another great Mother’s Day race because it’s held in memorial for a student who passed away suddenly on Mother’s Day a few years ago. It feels really good to race for a strong cause with thousands of other people 🙂
