How far along are you? 34 weeks pregnant – less than 6 weeks to go! It’s starting to really feel like we are in the home stretch here – I feel like there is much more progress on even weeks, like they are more of a milestone, even though there isn’t any reason for that. I just like even numbers! But everything is starting to feel really REAL and the little guy will be here before we know it!
How I’m feeling: This was a tough week for me – I was very tired, had tons of heartburn, suffered from lower back pain towards the end of the week and it was the first time my feel swelled. Yikes. Luckily {or not so luckily} the majority of these symptoms affect me at night/in the evening and during the day I am out and about feeling ok – but I have started to feel a bit more uncomfortable this week for sure.
Total weight gain: Still up 17 pounds – I didn’t have any weight gain from my last appointment at 31 weeks, which I was surprised at since I ate a ton at home during Thanksgiving, but my OB said it was normal at this point. Especially with all the walking I have been doing lately. I am sure there will be
How big is baby? Baby is around 4 3/4 pounds – about the size of a cantaloupe – and almost 18 inches long. Personally, I think he’s running out of room & am not really sure where is he going to grow over the next 6 weeks, but we shall see! As of this week his central nervous system and lungs are continuing to mature. His digestive system and immune system are fully working on their own and no longer relying on the placenta!
What I Wore: Button Down Shirt / Tank / Pants / Boots
Maternity clothes: No new purchases this week, nothing new or exciting to report. I am really working with what I have in my closet and wearing tons of zippered/buttoned tops {that don’t zip}
Sleep: Had a few good days this week with 6+ hours of uninterrupted sleep {without any bathroom breaks!} but the back pain towards the end of the week messed with that a bit.
What I Wore: Dress / Shoes / Necklace / Tights
Best moment this week: Celebrating Baby Brinkley at my NJ/PA Baby Shower this past weekend and having my mom up for a long weekend to help me organize the nursery.
Movement: All the time. He wakes me up at night & I can feel his hard body laying horizontally across my belly. Still not sure what is the head & what is the bum, my OB thinks his head is on the left, but either way, he still isn’t head down. It’s crazy when I can feel his head & bum at the same time and get a real sense for how big he actually is! Crazy to think about how much he has grown in my belly & how much bigger he will get in the coming weeks!
Food cravings: Cheerios & Milk Chocolate Orange Balls {the kind you whack!} – They are my favorite holiday treat! I am obsessed with them and will eat them everyday. I also made a really good batch of chili last night & currently want to make it again every night this week because it was so tasty. Snow Day + Bowl of Homemade Chili = Perfection.
Food aversions: Chicken
What I Miss: Nothing this week!
What I’m looking forward to: Hanging up the last few shelves & photos in the nursery {which I hope to do this weekend} and then all we will need will be for Baby Brinks to arrive & set up shop!
Milestone: We are all set up for Christmas in our new home – we decorated a tree & everything is all very festive. It’s our first holiday in our new home and our last one as a family of 2 {and a 1/2 with Jackson} so it’s sure to be a special holiday season!

As my #10DaysofGiveaways continues up for grabs today is a $25 gift card to rupreggers.com
The wonderful folks at Preggers sent me a few pairs of their maternity leggings to try out a few days ago. It couldn’t have come at a more perfect time because their legwear is specifically made to help with circulation and to prevent swelling. They are compression tights which are made to promote better blood flow {specifically around the legs & ankle}
I got to try out the nutmeg and chameleon {shown below} and I loved them so much I ordered a pair in black which I wore this weekend for my baby shower. They are footless so they are perfect to wear with any shoe! I believe I will continue to wear these tights post pregnancy. They are so comfortable and you can fold down the tummy support if you don’t want it {but seriously, who doesn’t want some extra tummy support?}
Enter to win a $25 gift card to the Preggers online shop where you can pick out the product/color of your choosing. This makes a great gift for any mom-to-be in your life or just an extra treat to spice up your winter wardrobe!

I’m 36 weeks along with my second baby and this pregnancy has been completely different. It would be great to win something for these last few weeks of pregnancy and first weeks after delivery to be able to change up the very boring maternity wardrobe I currently have…
Because the leggings from my first pregnancy are a little sad looking!
I would love a pair because I am 19 weeks and have yet to purchase any maternity clothing! I had my last child 14 years ago and I just feel so out of the loop!!!
