I hope everyone had a fabulous Valentine’s Day weekend! Today I wanted to show you a little treat that Brooks put together for a few family and friends that he got to spend some time with over the past few days. I saw this idea on Pinterest a while back and thought it would be so cute for our little man to recreate.
It was fun to surprise Brooks’ grandparents & aunt and uncle with these hand & feet love prints as his Valentine to them. They turned out really well & was such a sweet way to celebrate his first official holiday – not to mention a great way to remember how little his hands and feet were at 2 weeks old!
It was really hard to get the handprint from the little guy – he loves keeping his hands in fists, at all times – we thought we could get him more relaxed when he was asleep but he wasn’t having it. We managed to get four good handprints and the rest we just used his feet.
Such a fun way to celebrate the holiday of Love!
In other news our little guy is coming up on 3 weeks old this week. Time is going by so fast & slow at the same time and I am really trying to cherish every moment – I am embracing how little he is each and every day! As of last Wednesday he was a little over 8 lbs. and I am hoping he will have gained a full 1 lb. since birth this week when he gets weighed in – which would put him at 8 lbs. 11 oz. – we shall see this week! !
Breastfeeding is getting better each day, I am going to put together a list of my favorite must-have’s for surviving breastfeeding sometime this week – so stay tuned for that! My mom is now staying with us for the next few weeks and it’s awesome having her here to help out – not to mention she loves soaking up as much time with her grandson as possible!
I’ve got some fun posts coming up as well as some exciting giveaways so stay tuned!
