in24 Race Giveaway

Another fun giveaway for my Philadelphia readers today! I’ve partnered with the wonderful folks at Back on my Feet {BoMF} to spread the word today about the upcoming 24 hour race weekend, which features an Ultra-Marathon, Relay Challenge, Midnight Madness Run & Finale 5K.

I recently participated in the Back on my Feet 5 Miler in Philadelphia, my first race 2 months postpartum – and it was a great run {for a great cause!} Back on My Feet is a national for-purpose organization that uses running to help those experiencing homelessness change the way they see themselves so they can make real change in their lives that results in employment and independent living.

The 7th annual Stroehmann Back on My Feet in24 Philadelphia Race Challenge (in24 Philadelphia) is being held July 19-20th in Philadelphia, PA. The race encapsulates the challenge we invoke in all of our runners- what will you accomplish in 24 hours? in24 Philadelphia will offer four race categories to choose from: the 24hr Ultra Marathon, Relay Challenge (teams of 3-5), Midnight Madness and Finale 5K. Even better, in24 is owned and operated by BoMF and all proceeds go towards the organization.

I’ve seen this event take place every year along Kelly Drive but I’ve never participated in it myself – I’m excited to say this year I will be running {in the Finale 5k} – so I’m excited to be a part of the fun!

The awesome folks at BoMF have offered up a race bib to either the Midnight Madness or Finale 5K to one lucky And Her Little Dog Too reader!

A little bit about each of the races – The Midnight Madness runners will race the 8.4-mile loop around Philadelphia’s Schuylkill River, which is Philadelphia’s only glow-in-the-dark run { and it takes place on July 20th at midnight!}  Don’t forget to bring your glow to the race! Runners are encouraged to wear glow paint, lights, flash lights, and glow sticks to light up the race and for a chance to win a prize! Sounds like so much fun!

The Finale 5K is the final race of the weekend in which runners & spectators will both cheer on the final steps of our ultra-runners with a fun filled 5K race! It’s perfect race for the novice runner to the most seasoned runner looking to test their speed – The course will be comprised within the Schuylkill River Running Loop and will be followed by a celebratory breakfast for all runners!

Enter to win entry to the #in24 race of your choosing – the Midnight Madness OR Finale 5k-

I’m not sure which race I would choose, but I’m leaning towards midnight madness because I’ve recently upped my mileage!

Definitely the Finale 5K. It’s on my resolution list to run a 5K this year (my first!) and this would be a great start!

If I win, I can’t race. That’s the month I am supposed to give birth but I would love to give it to a friend is that’s possible.
