BackJoy #PosturePledge Giveaway

Did you know May is National Correct Posture Month?

BackJoy is a company who is fixing the way the world sits, stands, and sleeps – and they are currently celebrating #PosturePledge ! BackJoy is celebrating the many benefits of great posture by rewarding those who commit to improving their own posture.

Small actions, one day at a time, can have lasting, positive changes…and better posture will help you breathe better, lower stress hormones, build confidence and achieve greater focus and energy—not to mention you’ll have less back pain! I don’t know about you, but I ALWAYS have to remind myself to sit & stand up straight – and I feel so much better when I do!

From improving how you sit at work to incorporating core exercise muscles into your workout routine, no action is too small to help your posture – Pick your #PosturePledge action for May:

  1. Improve sitting posture at work
  2. Ditch the heels and invest in “zero drop” shoes
  3. Sleep on your side or back instead of your stomach
  4. Be conscious of “technology posture” and “text neck” – The 3 T’s: Texting, Tablet, TV (Gaming)
  5. Incorporate core exercises into your workout routine
  6. When you lift heavy things (weights, boxes, kids), bend at the knees, not the back
  7. Tell your mom “thanks”! She was right—sit and stand up straight.
  8. Consult with a posture professional (PT, chiropractor, ergonomist)
  9. Stretch—do pilates, yoga, swimming…
  10. Eat healthy and watch your weight

The first 500 people who participate in the #PosturePledge celebration will receive a FREE SitSmart Posture Plus.

And now for a little info on some BackJoy goodies {and a giveaway!} –

BackJoy

The SitSmart Posture Plus, {BackJoy‘s signature product} automatically tilts, cups and floats the pelvis upright to engage core muscles and help you find your most balanced and comfortable posture!  It was designed so you can automatically sit with optimal sitting posture anytime, anywhere! The SitSmart Posture Plus was designed to relieve back pain by supporting your spine.

This has been so amazing for me since my little man came along. I never had any back pain before him and now with picking him up and holding him all day long, I’m sore at the end of the day. Having this device to keep me sitting in the correct position when I can definitely helps. I’m using it right now as I type!

BackJoy Posture Plus

The Stress Roller is another handy posture focused tool that can help reduce pain and tightness and its very easy to take it with you wherever you go. It’s sort of like a mini foam roller for your body – The pressure applied by StressRoller moves energy within the muscles, re-aligning the spine, increasing circulation and restoring the body to its natural state of balance and well-being. You can use it pretty much anywhere on your body – it’s all sorts of awesome and is great because it really gets into those tough to reach places. I’m a big fan of using it on my shoulders!

I am really happy with my posture considering I am 35 weeks pregnant. I make an effort to sit up but I could really use one of these.

I am terrible with slouching at my desk at work since I look from paperwork to computer screen all day! Then I go home and read off my tablet… no wonder my neck is killing me! I really plan on improving my posture after reading this post and being more mindful of my body in general.

This is perfect timing! I’ve been really working to improve my posture at work! I have lowered my chair so my legs actually lay flat on the ground (being 5’3” can be a pain) and am working to have my ears always in line with my shoulders. These would make it even easier!
