a new ‘do with #MYHCLOOK

So remember a few weeks ago when I shared some long hair inspiration & I mentioned that I was itching for a cut? Well, when I was home in Virginia for Thanksgiving I did just that!

I don’t get my haircut regularly {even though I should} but when I do I always go to Hair Cuttery – seriously, I’m not just saying that for this post, it’s where I’ve been going for hair cuts for years. I always enjoy how quick and easy it is along with the great prices. I pop around to different locations when I randomly decide I need a trim and I’ve never been disappointed. I am not one to spend a lot of money on my hair or a haircut – around $20 for a shampoo & cut {add $5 extra for a blow-dry, if I’m feeling fancy} and you are good to go. I always get charged extra for my “long hair” which annoys me because after they cut it, it isn’t really long anymore, but you can’t win them all.

For this haircut I wanted to bring in a photo for inspiration – and let’s be honest, who doesn’t love a good Jennifer Aniston cut? She always has such awesome hair – so I showed my stylist this picture to give her an idea of what I was looking for.

I wanted to trim off all the dead ends for sure and get some longer layers. Easy peasy.

Pre-hair wash: I love the head massage, it’s the best!

I got a nice amount cut off, maybe 3 inches, it seems so short all of a sudden but it feels so light and amazing and I’m happy I got a good trim – I needed it! I was tempted to go way shorter for a more dramatic cut & look but I totally chickened out – maybe next time!

But I do love the layers and this is a great length for me. I think the haircut turned out really well & I’m really happy with it!

What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done to your hair?

    Your hair looks really nice!

I have done it all. The most I regret was chopping off all my hair to give myself a pixie type do.
