While doing some last minute holiday shopping in Target the other day I was inspired by a bag of balls.
I had seen lots of DIY ball pit options on Pinterest so I thought it would be fun to create our own little “city living version” of the classic ball pit.
Since we don’t have a crazy amount of room in our home for lots of bigger toys, we have to get a little creative when living in the city & keeping my little man entertained {which is tough as the weather gets really cold & we can’t be outside as much!} So I picked up the last little bag of balls {only $14 for a bag of 150 – I thought it was a pretty good deal!} and went home to have some fun.
Little man is at the perfect age for this kind of play. He loves to kick around in the basket & throw the balls all over the place. Brooks knocks the balls together and has a ball playing in the ball pit! We also borrowed a play yard {aka – baby jail} from a friend and it’s fun to toss the balls in there as well, to keep them a little more contained!
Here’s how you can make you own {just in case you haven’t figured it out on your own!} 🙂
What You Will Need:
a baby
a old laundry basket
a glass of wine {optional}
How To:
- Put the bag of balls in the old laundry basket {or play yard}. Add baby.
- Now sit back, relax and put your feet up!
Because this ball pit provides endless entertainment. Trust.
And because a ball pit makes everything awesome, no matter what age!
Next on the agenda, teaching little man to clean up all the 150 balls after flinging them all around the room!
