Plum Organics Hello Meals Giveaway

Presented by: PlumOrganics

unnamed

One of my favorite baby brands – Plum Organics – just launched a new line of easy-to-make, healthy, yet filling meals called Hello Meals.

We’ve been going the baby led weaning route for some time and one of the biggest things in terms of BLW, aside from letting the child self feed {or at least try to} is meal time together! This is something we’ve been trying to make a priority as much as possible – eating together, as a family!

smile

I love to cook and whenever I am deciding what to make or what new meal to try, I always have a the front of my mind – how can we make this baby friendly. Little man only has 4 teeth, so some things are easier to eat than others. Aside from that, his taste changes as easily {and as frequently} as the wind. A meal I made last week that he loved, he won’t touch this week. And for the most part, as much as I try to include fruit and vegetables in his diet – the little man mainly {exclusively?} wants carbs. All day.

But I’ll save what he isn’t eating for another day and today I wanted to share a little bit about what he IS eating.

blueberrry morning

I was pumped when the folks at Plum Organics sent Brooks a little care package to try out their latest product {along with some of their favorite pouches!} Hello Meals are morning & dinner {or lunch too!} I’ve been doing my best to sneak in fruits and vegetables whenever and whenever possible for little man’s meals but he hasn’t been very into it until these little numbers showed up on our doorstep.

plum

I must admit that I was skeptical at first. I was totally into the flavors – blueberry, banana, & quinoa oatmeal / apple, cinnamon, & quinoa oatmeal / pumpkin, spinach, quinoa & baby grains / broccoli & cheese baby pasta – Hello Meals are made with whole grains, real fruit or veggies, and a hint of spice or herb. The focus of these meals, aside from to fill little tummies, is to share new textures and flavors to train tiny palates.

baby grains

All you have to do is add hot water and stir for a warm, belly-filling meal. Done and done. And I love the fact that it doesn’t look – or taste – like baby food. It looks like something I could totally eat! I tried it and it’s very tasty!

And on each packet it gives suggestions of other things you can add to add more texture, flavor and goodness to each meal. Love that!

yum

So I love the product but more importantly, little man is obsessed with it too. He’s had one – or more – each day since we received the Hello Meals last week and he can’t get enough. I try to change up some of the flavors each day by adding in little extras here and there – some yogurt, banana or other fruit, or even a pouch for extra veggies – and each time Brooks has been all but licking his bowl clean! He’s got a good little appetite!
