So I am in week two of my Genesis Superfoods 30 Day program. I sort of love it because I don’t have to give up or take anything out of my diet. I’m just adding in all sorts of amazing superfoods so I’ve been feeling pretty great. It really is true that when you take the time to do something good for your body, you feel better just from that effort – no matter how big or small. I’ve committed to start my day off with a juice or a smoothie every day this month – here we are 11 days in, and it’s been such a great change I can already feel from the inside out.
This week I went back to my green monster roots and gave it a serious update with the Genesis Today Greens. It’s such a simple recipe, but it tastes so good and it’s a quick and easy meal to make that’s both filling and delicious. I put everything in my single serve personal blender – I love this thing because it makes the perfect amount for me, every time.
- 2-3 handfuls of spinach
- 1 banana
- 8 oz. almond milk
- 1 scoop Genesis Today Greens
Blend everything until smooth and I swear it tastes like a chocolate milkshake! Scouts honor! Only its green and beautiful! This stuff keeps me full until lunch and I haven’t had coffee in the morning in two weeks!
I love that my classic green monster has been updated with all these amazing extra superfoods now! And I also can really attest to how the past two weeks making my fresh juices and smoothies in the morning has really made a difference in my inner health. I can already tell a difference in my digestion and it feels fabulous. I need to bottle this feeling up and keep on keepin’ on with my green drinks in the morning even after August is over for sure!
What are you doing – big or small – to make a change to your diet these days?
