Adults Do Disney – Where We Stayed, Disney Springs Favorites & Around the World Showcase at Epcot

I’ve been home two weeks already but it’s finally time to recap my amazing Girls Getaway with Gaga {aka – my mom, it’s the boys special name for her!}

I was BEYOND excited to be able to work with DISNEY {Yes, Disney!} on this trip – basically all my dreams coming true. So this was a bit surreal for me and I’m so pumped to share it with you!

A hop, skip + a quick flight from Philly and my mom & I were ready to soak up that Florida sunshine! We picked sort of a crazy time to go, that I didn’t think would be crazy when we booked it, and it wasn’t crazy busy in terms of lots of people, just an interesting time to travel there.

We went November 16th – 19th, the weekend before Thanksgiving, traveling on a Friday, which I 100% didn’t think about when I booked it. It didn’t end up being a problem for us, but I see how it could have.

We lucked out for sure.

We stayed at the Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace Disney Springs. I did a lot of research finding the perfect spot and this place was great for us.

It was brand new, which I loved – had amazing restaurants, bars, and fabulous pools. Unfortunately it was a tiny bit too cold for the pool during our visit – even though it was heated – but weather aside, we probably wouldn’t have had time for a dip in the pool because our schedule was so packed! So I guess that means we need to go back again for another visit!

Another reason the hotel was awesome – It had transportation to all the Disney properties, included and it was an under 10 minute walk from the hotel to Disney Springs – which happens to be one of my favorite places on the Disney Property.

So many amazing restaurants, shops, bars, entertainment – and the place is just BEAUTIFUL to walk around and enjoy the sights.

In true Disney fashion, they do an incredible job.

I think my mom and I were there at least once a day for a meal – walking around, shopping, having a grand ol’ time.

It’s seriously the best – for those who aren’t familiar, it’s the old Downtown Disney – but so much more amazing that what that was years ago.

My two favorite places to go for sips, eats & drinks:

Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant – my favorite Irish food {it’s SOO GOOD!} but the live music and Irish dancing here is incredible. Be sure to stop by for one of the shows!

T-Rex {which is like Rainforest Cafe, but Dinosaurs} – during our last Disney visit, we went here with the boys and they LOVED it. So I had to bring Gaga back.

The food and the drinks here are really good. But I am here for the amazing decor – check out the Shark Bar with the massive fish tank. It’s amazing to sit and relax here after a busy day – until the Meteor Shower hits!

After fueling up we made out way over to Epcot to have a little fun! Epcot is ALWAYS a good time, there are some really good rides – like Soarin’ and the World Showcase is the absolute BEST thing ever!

We also took some time to take a few photos with some friends along the way – like Pluto and Baymax!

This Baymax photo was totally for the boys, but also a little for me too – because I love him.

This was my moms first time on Soarin’ and she LOVED it!

Obviously, I knew she would!

Other rides we went on during our day here:

Gran Fiesta Tour {in Mexico}

Frozen Ever After {can’t believe we scored a Fast Pass for this!}

The Seas with Nemo and Friends

Spaceship Earth

The only thing we missed was Test Track! NEXT TIME!

I was also surprised because Disney was all decked out for the Holiday season, the weekend before Thanksgiving! I didn’t think we would get to see all the amazing decor, but we did and it was obviously beautiful!

Here’s a look at the giant tree in Epcot!

After hanging with the characters and doing all the rides, it was time for a trip around the world. World Showcase in Epcot is the absolute best. The different countries are so well done and beautiful. It’s a treat just to walk around and enjoy each area – something I was able to actually do without the kiddos in tow!

Serious winning happening.

So much winning in fact that margaritas + mariachi bands happened.

Sometimes you are friends with the band.

Mexico, you da best!

After Mexico we found ourselves in Norway {where you can find Frozen Ever After} followed by China.

The buildings in China are so beautiful.

Having been to China IRL {in real life} I can say that Disney does an amazing job representing this beautiful land in the World Showcase.

The sun started to set as we continued our journey around the pond. After China you can visit Germany, followed by America, then Japan, the Uniter Kindgom and then if you are like us, you have to go back to Mexico for more guacamole, tacos and margaritas!

Olè!

So. Good.

And you know I’m always in the mood for a taco.

Disney, especially Epcot is so beautiful during the day – but even more so at night with everything lit up and perfect. Throw in extra holiday decor and lights and you are good to go!

It was a beautiful day at one of my favorite parks! I can’t wait to share with you the rest of our trip! Now I’d love to hear from you – which is your favorite Disney Park?

Epcot, Hollywood Studios, Magic Kingdom or Animal Kingdom?!

With AND Without the Kiddos! Because this adult loves Disney too!
