Friday Favorites: Our Last Week in the City, Celebrating My Birthday and Father’s Day Picks

It’s been a week over here! I celebrated my 35th birthday AND we are all very busy enjoying our FINAL week in the city! It’s crazy that after living here for almost a decade, we are turning in our resident pass for a big backyard, a garage and all.the.space.

People keep asking me if I’m sad about it – but honestly, I’ve been packing up the house since January – decluttering, organizing, minimizing, staging – and since we closed on the new house over a month ago, I’ve been slowly moving things over each week. We really only have a few necessities and furniture left to take over. I’m not sad about leaving the city at all – I will miss my friends and the kids friends that we get to walk around the corner or next door and see all the time – and the ease, along with the hustle and bustle of it all – but I’m ready to move. I’m ready for the space and the next chapter. I’ll be doing another post on all that next week, so stay tuned.

So yes, this week I celebrated my 35th birthday. I think it was the first time in almost 15 years we didn’t celebrate it down the beach – but it was so nice to be able to be in the city with friends! I was treated to my favorite meals, a mani/pedi date, flowers and other treats from my favorite – including my cupcake in a cone birthday treat from my mom.

Also as a birthday treat, Charles and I enjoyed our last night out in the city {while we live here} – he took me to my favorite little spot – Talula’s Garden. Here’s a throwback post from my first visit there back in 2013 – it’s still my favorite because it’s in such a great location, tucked away and the food is always incredible. It was nice to be able to get away just us two – especially since we’ve got a crazy week of moving and packing ahead of us.

I mentioned earlier this week on the blog – we’ve got a fun trip to Hershey planned for this weekend. It was sort of perfect how it fell right in between my birthday and also Father’s Day. It’s going to be fun to celebrate there – even though we have so much to do at home – it’s always nice to getaway.

For Father’s Day this year, I’ve partnered with American Greetings – so if you are still in need of a card for good ‘ol dad – head on over to my Instagram for a coupon!

And if you haven’t entered my Hersheypark 8 TICKET GIVEAWAY yet, enter the Rafflecopter link in this post!

Now I’ve got two fun little Father’s Day Gift ideas, for anyone who is still shopping today. Dads {and guys in general} can be so hard to shop for – so I was so excited when I was able to try out the new KeySmart Pro with Tile Smart location.

This is a compact key organizer that can let you track your missing keys on a map – with the free Tile app on your phone. Its so awesome because it can make your keys ring if you are searching for them! It also works the opposite way and can help your find your phone if you’ve misplaced it! I think its a great gift for guys because it can hold up to 10 keys, a flashlight and a bottle opener. I think its an awesome + useful gift for anyone!

Another great gift idea for dad {or anyone really!} are these incredible PaMu wireless slides. These things are incredible for so many reasons – The charging case charges your headphones AND your iPhone – which is amazing and

And my last little Friday Find of the day, not really Father’s Day or Birthday related, but still equally as awesome – TealTrunk – a Silicone Sponge and Scrubber Multipurpose Household Kitchen and Bathroom Cleaning. It’s Eco-Friendly, Heat Resistant, Odor and Mildew Free!

Sort of a little random in this week’s Friday Favorites – but since I’m in the middle of moving and cleaning I’m super into anything that makes any of that a little easier! This sponge is great because it’s super easy to hold, has the fish scale pattern for better scrubbing grip and a mix of scrubbers for a gentle scrub with no risk of scratching your kitchen tools. It’a also SUPER FLEXIBLE to get into all those dirty and hard to reach places!

I’ve been using this thing on everything – for washing dishes, cups, pots, pans, plates and all other kitchen tools. It’s also great to wash fruit and veggies and can even be used to CLEAN your MAKEUP BRUSHES and PAINT BRUSHES since silicone Doesn’t absorb it WON’T STAIN! Another great thing for our home renovations!

Can’t say enough good things about this little scrubber brush! Definitely a fabulous find !

Now I’d love to know what you are loving this week! Please share !

Five Friday Favorites: My New Amazon Shop, a few Organizational Must Haves + More

So I’ve got some exciting news today on this beautiful Friday!

I’ve FINALLY got my life together and put together an Amazon Shop to share with you! I’ve actually had it for a while, but never really did anything with it. And I feel like I’ve upped my Amazon purchasing lately and some things have been way too good not to share!

Be sure to follow along, as I’ll always be updating my Amazon Store FIRST and I like to pack it with lots of good stuff I love!

And now, without further ado, here’s what I’m digging this week, check it out and let me know what you think!

// Notebook / Colorful Markers / The Home Edit / Lip Color / Wallet

So since COMPLETELY reorganizing my kitchen, I’ve been on a bit of an organizational high. Everything needs organizing, including my calendar and planning system.

I was recently introduced to this “Bullet/Dotted” hardcover notebook and I’m in love. It’s completely transforming how I keep track of everything and how I plan. It’s been a game changer and these amazing markers are perfect to go along with it!

In the same vein, I am really digging this book – The Home Edit – It’s not only beautiful but really motivational, inspirational and a great place to grab some ideas if you are looking to do some organizing in your home.

A perfect little organizing trio.

Next up, this lip color.

I have them in the colors Find Me + Love Me and I’ve been so impressed with color, texture and how long they last! Also – they are vegan, gluten free and I find them to be super hydrating. If you are in the market for a new lippy, definitely check them out!

Ok, sort of random – but how cool is this wallet?! Its made of titanium, holds up to 12 cards and has a built in money clip. I received it as a promotional item but I’ve been so impressed. Really cool gift for that hard to shop for guy {or anyone!} on your list!

And we are over 5 for this week, but I had a few extras to share, so why not! Loving this CleverMade Wine Tote – it holds 3 bottles of wine OR 6 cans of beer, comes with a removable ice pack and a bottle opener. It’s such a fun little thing to have for summer BYOB’s, picnics and more. PLUS it’s almost 50% off right now! Stock up if you need one!

Finally – MP Magic Socks! Why am I mentioning socks? Well, funny you should ask – These socks are made from a unique fabric that uses three metals: silver, copper and zinc. This combination of metals provides greater antibacterial protection than any single metal alone. They are super comfortable, moisture wicking, quick drying and really work!

So there’s what I am loving and using this week! I’d love for you to follow along my Amazon Storefont and let me know what you think of everything else I’ve got there! And if you’ve got any ideas or suggestions of anything I should include – send me a message, I’d love to hear it!

Thanks for following along todays post – I hope you have a fabulous weekend!

Five Friday Favorites: Rompers, Wedges, the Gorgeous Spring Weather and More!

It’s Friday and it’s been a crazy week! The highlight for sure was having my new friend Abigail from Intentional Order come over and help me COMPLETELY re-work my kitchen. I wanted to minimize it a ton, to make it more useable and since we are hoping to move soon, I wanted to sort through a bunch I could pack away now and also donate. It has been a whirlwind, but we made so much progress – working on the before and afters to share with you next week, stay tuned!

Because of that the blog took a bit of a backseat this week – but we are still here and chugging along and I wanted to celebrate it being Friday by sharing FIVE of my favorite things this week. Here’s what I’m loving right now…

// Romper / Shoes / Necklace {on sale!} / Earrings / Jacket

#1 – I am SERIOUSLY into rompers at the moment. I’m eyeing up any and everything that’s black and a one piece. They all look so cute and comfortable and easy to wear – especially during this transitional season.

I am really loving this one because of the fun criss cross on the back and the amazing price. The one is long in the torso, so a longer shirt underneath is what I would suggest. But it has pockets and its light and so cute with the bottom hems cuffed up! I can’t wait to wear it with sneakers, sandals, wedges, and maybe over a swimsuit too! What do you think?

And as a little treat, be sure to use the code: Q1andherlittledogtoo15 – for 15% off any order!

#2- Next up, my new favorite Earth Yarrow Espadrille Wedges. I am trying to add more black to my wardrobe, since I’m finding it a color I am reaching for more and more and I knew these would be a great addition to my Spring {and Summer AND Fall} looks! I love the closed toe and the scalloped detail. The ankle strap is velcro so its so easy to get on and off. It comes in a beautiful light tan as well, I’m contemplating getting them in another color because they are so comfortable and easy to wear!

Cute with the romper above and cuffed denim below! Wins all around!

#3 – Speaking of warmer weather, its been AMAZING the last few days to get out and really enjoy the sunshine in Philadelphia. We have been doing a tour of all the playgrounds and parks and it feels incredible to be outside.

The boys are loving every minute of it and can’t get enough. We’ve already spent about 3 hours outside today and are planning to go back for more!

#4 – I picked up this piece of wood at a Flea Market in the city years ago. It originally came with glass votives for candles, but a few had been broken over time. I loved the piece so much but I didn’t know what to do with it, so it sat in the basement for a long time. Last week I came across these succulents and thought they might work – and they fit PERFECTLY. I love this piece even now more than I did with the candles – and it looks so great going into the spring season.

#5 – A little random, but I am loving this little Blu Notebook I’ve been using lately. It is the first sketchbook made from pages with the unique look and feel of blueprint paper – something that has been really fun to get creative with. I’ve been using it for lists, sketching and fun line & graphing activities for the boys.

Now I’d love to hear something you are loving this week! And any fun plans you’ve got for the weekend – we are doing some House Hunting and plan to see WonderPark!

Friday Favorites: Hydro Flask, Freezy Freakies, Meatballs + My love for Dance Cardio Blast at the Gym

Hello + Happy Friday!

This weeks Friday Favorites are coming at you a little late in the day, because we spent a crazy morning at the gym. We recently joined LifeTime Fitness and it’s the best thing in the whole entire world. The kids LOVE the Kids Academy there and I LOVE being able to take a class and have a little downtime to myself while the kids take classes too!

Today my boys took a Gymnastics Class followed by a Dance/Hip Hop class. It’s amazing. We all take our classes, then we have lunch together a head to the indoor pool.

Seriously, the THE.BEST.

I’ve got more about the gym as one of my favorite things a few photos down, so more on that down there! Without further ado, here’s what I’m digging this week:

This mug.

I got this little number for myself and my husband as a stocking stuffer this year. We are a Hydroflask family, I’m loyal to the brand because I love it so much – we all have their water bottles, they are the best. This mug has been a life changer, keeping my tea hot all day long. I even left it in the cold car for a few hours after preschool drop off one day, remembered it and it was still perfectly hot. Incredible.

Can’t say enough good things!

Next up, this super fun Geo Print Zipper sweatshirt.

It’s warm and cozy, I love the fun prints and cool side zipper detail. Oh, and its under $20 – winner.

Now a little gym love.

I’ve been hitting up my gym 3 times a week because I love all the amazing classes so much. My ABSOLUTE favorite is Dance Cardio Blast – which is 60 minutes of intense, sweat busting DANCE. Something that is so not my comfort level, but I think that’s why I love it.

Each class I’ve burned 600 calories in a hour, and I’ve smiled the entire time. WAY more fun that running 6 miles on the treadmill, at least for me!

If you are in the King of Prussia/Ft. Washington area, BE SURE to take Cesar’s class. He’s the BEST!

And now a little Glove Love.

Freezy Freakies!

Raise you hands if you remember these gloves! From the 80’s these amazing color changing gloves are back – for Kids & Adults! These Freezy Freakies are so much fun to wear, because when you go outside in them in the cold, they change colors, reveal patterns and new colors.

My “I Heart Snow” ones reveal a heart and snowflakes. Brooks has the Fighter Jet ones, which reveal lasers and a Robot comes to life in the cold on Graham’s gloves.

They are SO MUCH FUN to wear – for myself and the kids, and they are quick to change with the temperature, which make them even more fun! If you are looking for a fun way to spice up your winter gear, be sure to check out Freezy Freakies! And did I mention they are SUPER WARM?! Because they are!

And for my final Friday Favorite, yesterday I made 50 meatballs. So now I get to eat meatballs for days, and that’s pretty damn awesome. I’m pumped about it. If you need me this weekend, you can bet I’ll be eating meatballs.

Off to enjoy the weekend! I hope you have something fun lined up too! Let me know if you are looking forward to anything special – I’m looking forward to a fun Date Night myself! Cheers + Happy Friday!
