And Her Little Stitch Fix Too – Requesting Closet Staples in Neutral Colors

It’s been a while since I’ve gotten a Fix, but I am so excited to share with you my latest one today! As I’ve been sharing for the past few months, I’ve really been slimming down my closet contents. I’m working on living with less and making my way towards a more minimalist wardrobe.

After Tidying Up – it was so much easier for me to see what I reach for to wear all the time, and what I don’t. So after clearing out what doesn’t bring me joy, I found I had some more room in my closet for some wardrobe staples.

So I decided to give Stitch Fix a call!

I requested classic silhouettes in neutral colors – black, white and grey. I’m trying to fill my closet up with more quality pieces that can be versatile, in those colors.

Because you can never go wrong with black, white or grey – amiright?

Here’s what I got, check it out and let me know what you think!

********************

41 Hawthorn Morgan Essential Boyfriend Cardigan – $58

I love this boyfriend cardigan. It is a thinner knit but feels like a dream. The button and pocket detail are really beautiful and it’s sort of the perfect layering piece as the seasons change.

// Riad Necklace / Wedges / Jeans / Leather Clutch

********************

Brina & Em Lemmy V-Neck Top – $38

Next up is this v-neck top. It’s hard to see in the photograph, but its a subtle black and white stripe pattern. This is a dressier fabric because it’s a nicer fabric. It’s a classic silhouette that could be dressed up or down for really any occasion. And because of the color, it’s an easy piece to accessorize any way you want!

// Wedges / Jeans / Leather Clutch

********************

Nine Britton Billie Tie Front Brushed Knit Top – $40

I pulled this top out of the box and immediately thought “Oh this is me” and it clearly is. I love a good brushed grey color and the side tie detail is so cute. I’m normally not a fan of a crew neck, but this one seems a bit bigger than the average crew, which I appreciate. It’s the perfect weight for the changing season as well!

********************

Pixley Carlin French Terry Hood Denim Jacket – $78

This was a fun piece to receive in my Fix because I have been on the hunt for a denim jacket in black, forever. I did however just pick up this one, which I think I prefer. But if you are looking for a casual black denim jacket with a grey hood, this is a great option! What do you think of the hood – like it or leave it?

********************

Emory Park Dulce 3/4 Sleeve Cross Front Knit Top – $38

And finally this little number. You can’t go wrong with classic black and I love the cross front detail. My favorite part of this top is the longer length and how its nice and how it has a nice flow, without being too much. I REALLY love this easy look all put together.

********************

Ok that’s it! Now I need your help! I’m going to have a hard time deciding that to keep from this Fix! As always, I love your thoughts and opinions – would love to know your favorite piece {or two} from this Fix!

Ummm…excuse me while I have a moment because I just unboxed Stitch Fix #50!

How crazy is that?

I have been working with Stitch Fix since the beginning, have loved working with them for years, trying out their maternity pieces, Kids Fix and even got to visit their headquarters in San Francisco {which was awesome!}

But before you call me Stitch Fix obsessed, let me just say that I’ve had 50 over the past 5 years – throwback to my FIRST Fix – which doesn’t seem too bad to me! It’s so nice to get a little wardrobe refresh in my mailbox every 6 weeks or so!

My last Fix was in the summer, where I requested a Britney Spears Inspired Fix – so it’s been a while, I was definitely due for a delivery!

For this one, I requested cute, comfy and cozy Fall classics – which is exactly what I got!

Tinsel Hattie Two Pocket Button Down Top $44

// Pearl Bib Necklace

First up is this AMAZING Black and White Buffalo plaid button down. Wouldn’t you know this exact piece was missing from my wardrobe – the only buffalo check I had was in red – so it was honestly a perfect piece to add to my closet.

This thing is soft, has great length, I love the pocket detail and its easy to wear with jeans or leggings and it’s an easy piece layer with lots of different options because of the classic black and white.

Love.

********************

Market & Spruce Jahana Cargo Vest $68

Next up, the most perfect vest there ever was or will be.

Seriously.

It’s so good I have it already – and even wrote a whole blog post on it.

Seriously, if you don’t have one of these in your closet, you need to add one ASAP!

********************

Leo & Nicole Zaryn Cotton Blend Poncho Pullover $68

Third in my Fix was this amazingly soft and cozy poncho. I love this piece because of the neutral colors, the slouchy neck and the slit up the side. I have other ponchos in my life, but this one is way superior because of the length! Plus it’s a perfect grey/black+ white color combination!

// Rose Statement Earrings

********************

MIA Dunia Perforated Bootie $79

Next up – the booties! So cute and comfortable and perfect – so much so in fact that I have them and again – wrote a blog post on my love for them!  I have a different brand but they look and feel the same – I highly recommend as I wear them all the time with everything!

********************

STS Blue Kaori Distressed Frayed Hem Skinny Jeans $55

And finally, these jeans. I was so surprised with them, because they are so affordable, but look and feel so expensive! If I didn’t have a million pairs in my closet already, I would 100% buy these! They were awesome and I love the distressed + frayed hem detail – Distressed Denim is my favorite!

********************

Now I need your help! I’m going to have a hard time deciding that to keep from this Fix! As always, I love your thoughts and opinions – would love to know your favorite piece {or two} from this Fix!

My Britney Spears Inspired Stitch Fix

It’s been a little while since I’ve had a Stitch Fix – I’ve been waiting for the perfect reason to request one! I’ve got a super fun weekend happening this weekend – going to Atlantic City with my girlfriends for the Britney Spears concert.

Woohoo.

Don’t judge if you aren’t a Britney fan. I’ve loved her since the beginning and I always have SUCH an amazing time going to see her live – it’s always an amazing show.

For a fun flashback, check out all my Britney Spears posts of the past – including when I was 7 months pregnant and saw her front row in Las Vegas #goals. If that’s not commitment, I don’t know what is!

So we got tickets, we have dinner reservations, possibly hitting up the spa, laying by the pool – its going to be a super fun getaway. In honor of that I requested a Stitch Fix with the hopes of adding something fun to my wardrobe for my weekend away.

Here’s what I got in my latest Britney Spears – inspired Fix ->

********************

FORTUNE + IVY Sabria Knit Dress $38

//  sandals / Kelin earrings  / lipstick in cool fuchsia

This dress is so stinkin’ cute – ESPECIALLY for the price! I love the vintage floral, the shape and the length. I am not loving the crew neckline and the sleeveless arms, but its a super cute dress for the summer – great to throw on for a girls getaway trip!

********************

RD STYLE Mali Wide Leg Pant $44
These pants! They are so dang comfortable – light, breezy – would be an awesome travel pant or just a great summer pant to wear when you want a longer layer. I love the print, color and detail on this. Just trying to figure out if they are a little too big for me, I was wearing them pretty high on my waist and they were very big – and trying to see if I have a top that makes sense with them. They sent this grey tie top {more on that below} and I’m not sure it makes sense with these pants with the extra bulk.
Aside from all that I still really like these pants, I think they would be great to pair with booties and a denim jacket in the spring or fall – what do you think? Keep or Pass?

********************

MARKET & SPRUCE Vreelan Side Knot Knit Top $44
Next up – this top! I sort of love it with denim, so much cuter, right? Would be easy to layer with sweaters or other layers as the weather cools and the grey makes it easy to pair with anything or any print! Sort of love this as a great neutral basic to wear with anything!
What do you think?

********************

KAILEIGH Lexy Knit Jumpsuit $58

Ok, this jumpsuit is totally A.C. + Britney. I LOVE the color – it’s a beautiful eggplant in real life. The fit is also great with pockets and its a light fabric. Would be fun to layer and its different than anything I have in my closet!

What do you think? Keep or Pass? Is it Britney worthy?

********************

MIA Dossie Linen Wedge $69

And finally – these wedges! Another totally A.C. pick. They are super comfortable, a great neutral but a little high for my taste. I also have similar shoes which I like better, so I’m not sure these make the cut! What do you think?

********************

So I know this wasn’t a real blinged out Britney crazy fix, but it was perfect for me and my weekend away to see her! I am digging the pieces that I got to try and am excited to see how each of them work a little more with items already in my closet!

Now I have to decide what to keep!

Now I need your help! I’m going to have a hard time deciding that to keep from this Fix! As always, I love your thoughts and opinions – would love to know your favorite piece {or two} from this Fix!

My Floral-Inspired Stitch Fix Review

Oh Stitch Fix – you are my favorite way to start off a new month.

This February I asked for a fun, fresh, new Fix with lots of floral inspiration! I love picking a theme or a style or a trend and having my stylist go wild, helping me find fun pieces to add to my wardrobe! She totally delivered and this whole fix has me beyond excited for Spring!

Here’s what I got in my latest Fix ->

********************

First Up ->  August Mist, Mayson Kimono, $46
This kimono is pure perfection. I love the floral, the pink is so sweet, the contrasting hem detail down the front + around the neck makes it so beautiful – AH!
It’s lightweight, but it has a little bit of warmth to it – I added another pink top {also in this fix – see below} underneath for a little extra layer to it. I also love the length of this kimono – great to layer over denim, black pants {also in this fix!} or would be so beautiful over a little black dress!
Do you love this kimono as much as I do?!
********************
1822 Denim, Demetria Grommet Skinny Jean, $48
About the pants – how cute are these skinny jeans? I am wearing them in every photo in this fix, so you can get a good look at them through the rest of this post, but I had to give them am up close look here because they are beautiful! Everyone needs a solid pair of black jeans in their closet!
********************
PINK CLOVER, Valencia Pullover, $42
This is the pink top underneath the kimono above. I really love the shade of pink, perfect for Valentine’s Day and going into the spring. It’s lighter than a sweatshirt but not too light – easy piece to wear everyday!
********************
Just USA, Tibby Denim Jacket, $68
I’ve been on the hunt for a new denim jacket for a while now. The one I wear all.the.time is a light wash and I’ve had it since high school – yikes! Time for an upgrade, am I right? So I asked my stylist to keep her eyes open for a darker wash denim jacket and I really like this one she sent me!
I love to layer my denim jacket over other fun pieces for a casual look, so I don’t like them too long – so this totally fits the bill! I might need to add this to my closet, what do you think?
********************
Alice Blue, Lakemont Ruffle Neckline Blouse, $44
About this blouse! I love the purple floral print and the fun ruffle neck, its a really sweet piece. Possibly a little too see through for me. Maybe next time I should try it with a nude tank under to see if that makes a difference? It’s a beautiful piece that would be easy to wear out to dinner, brunch or just out and about with a denim jacket, like above.
Too see through? What are your thoughts?
Now I have to decide what to keep!

Now I need your help! I’m going to have a hard time deciding that to keep from this Fix! As always, I love your thoughts and opinions – would love to know your favorite piece {or two} from this Fix!
