After a glorious night at the Tequilla Factory, better known as El Azteca II, in Philly I never would have guessed that 3 hours drinking margaritas and heavy Mexican delights would allow me to participate in a 5K in the wee hours of Sunday morning…BUT I DID! Noodles, Kaitlin and I set out this morning for the Teal Ribbon 5K Race Against Time. It was so much fun and I feel so much better about life after getting up and running this morning. I would like to do a race like this every weekend (even though that would get expensive)…maybe 2 a month? Sounds reasonable to me. It was for a very good cause…Teal Ribbon Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation, Inc. Good times. Even had a pretty OK time for pacing ourselves and taking it easy…I was proud! Next weekend the 5K Strides for Stroke?! Woohoo! Maybe when I get on my Wii Fit today, it won’t gasp in horror since I made a valiant effort to exercise this holiday weekend. One can only hope!
