Time to clean out the fridge! You know what that means…JUICING up a storm! These carrots were on their last leg, and I didn’t want them to go to waste, and the meal I originally thought I was going to use the cucumbers for didn’t happen this week. I wanted to juice them when they were still at their peak! Quick and easy juice: Carrots and Cukes! Yum!
“ Cucumber juice is often recommended as a source of silica to improve the complexion and health of the skin, plus cucumber’s high water content makes it naturally hydrating—a must for glowing skin. Cucumbers are also used topically for various types of skin problems, including swelling under the eyes and sunburn. Two compounds in cucumbers, ascorbic acid and caffeic acid, prevent water retention, which may explain why cucumbers applied topically are often helpful for swollen eyes, burns and dermatitis.”
The orange in the juice reminds me of a desert sunset or a sandstone! Seriously, how pretty is that color?!
Photo shoot with the juice outside and inside. I love how the colors separate giving that layered look. Pretty juice!
I have been using my juicer a lot the past few days, juicing up a storm! I have taken a few days off from my green monster streak, mainly because I haven’t been to the store and am out of supplies! The cukes and carrots juice was awesome. I love the sweetness of the carrots, and the cucumbers just have the freshest taste.
So pumped it is FRIDAY!! I have off tomorrow and then BRITNEY SPEARS on Sunday! It is going to be a fun and fabulous weekend.
What are your weekend plans??
Also, yesterday the bride and I officially signed up for the Philadelphia Half Marathon! Woohoo! I love signing up for races and having them to look forward to. It makes running/training a little easier to be motivated for, at least for me! I know two fellow bloggers who are running the Philly Half too, is anyone else out there running it? I am totally thinking we NEED to do a blogger meet up before the race! Let me know if anyone has any plans!!
