Apples to Juice

Today has been a wonderfully restful and productive day. I have gotten caught up on lots of stuff and gotten tons done. I love these kinds of days!

It has also been a fabulous day because Jackson has a friend over for the afternoon. I am puppy sitting Ruby, she is the pup of a friend in our apartment complex. These two have been frolicking around all day together. I think they are puppy BF & GF. They are in love.

While the puppies were playing together, I decided it was time to put the apples I had gotten from my parents a while ago to good use.

I decided to make some apple juice with all those apples. I love my fabulous juicer, its such a great gadget to have.

All I have to do to prepare the apples for juicing is wash them and slice them. I technically don’t have to slice all of them, but I find it easier to juice them when they are cut.

I also have to take out the stems – this task sometimes proves lots harder than it looks. It takes skills to get the entire stem out in one try

All sliced up and ready to go!

Put the apple in the top of the juicer and out comes the juice!

It’s juicing magic!

The only bad thing about juicing is that it doesn’t always make so much. This is the juice from 15 apples!

The other thing is all the leftover pulp. I wish I could create something from this leftover pile!

Anyone have any ideas? I was thinking something along the line of adding it to applesauce? Or maybe adding it to some sort of bread creation? Thoughts? wicked 048

After juicing up a storm, there was lots of washing and cleaning up to be done. There are lots of parts to my juicer!

It was nice to sit back, relax and enjoy a nice glass of freshly squeezed apple juice.

While I was juicing, the two pups kept themselves pretty entertained. Dog treats and many toys were given out.

Jackson had a great time playing with Ruby. He is all tuckered out from their day of fun.

I've used like 10 clementines to make a glass of juice. It definitely uses a lot of produce!

My puppy doesn't have a friend!

Jackson is so cute! I sure hope that Ruby is good enough for him!!! My little maltepoo, Scruffy, goes to puppy day care once a week. He gets to play with all of his little friends and comes home exhausted and happy – money well spent!

I have a juicer, but it is such a nightmare when you have to clean it! It puts me off using it! I know that sounds incredibly lazy!

My two puppies are best friends. Well, one likes the other a little more, but at least they have each other…

I have 2 dogs so they constantly play. I have been trying to decide between a juicer of food dehydrator I think I may go with a juicer very soon. I am so jealous of seeing everyone's fresh juices in the blog world.

i love using my juicer, but you are right about the amount of fruit it takes up. I like to put water in my juice sometimes. Love the juice page.
