Make Your Own Chocolate Giveaway

Tonight I got to have some fun in the kitchen – by making my own chocolate!

The wonderful people at Glee Gum – makers of some fantastic all-natural chewing gum – recently came out with a few great DIY candy kits. I was contacted by the company with the opportunity to try one out for myself – I had to choose between making my own chewing gum, chocolate or gummies. It was a tough decision but I went with the chocolate – you can’t go wrong with chocolate, right?

The Make Your Own Chocolate Box came with everything you need right inside. Along with step by step instructions to make your chocolate stovetop or in the microwave.

A little bit of melting, lots of stirring & some waiting and before I know it…

Chocolate was created!

I ended up making about a dozen little cups – the hardest part of the entire process was getting the chocolate (gracefully) into the liners, while still keeping the cups “cute,” but I did manage to get a few good ones.

But let’s be honest, who cares what they look like, as long as they taste good, right?

And tasty they are! I was pleasantly surprised! The instructions gave you an option to add in any little “extras” to personalize your chocolate creations – like peanut butter, marshmallows or anything else your heart desires! I kept my chocolate plain this time, I wanted to see how it turned out in its original form, next time I might add PB & marshmallows! Bam!

I had a great time with the chocolate kit tonight – I could definitely see myself baking up a storm with some of the younger kids when everyone is home for the holidays, I know a little girl that would love it!
