Running Skirts Review: New Year, New Gear & a Gift for You!

I love getting presents in the mail – especially when they come in pretty pink packaging!

The other day I received a surprise package from the wonderful people at runningskirts – they sent me some new gear for the new year! Woohoo!

I was surprised when I opened up the package and found some of the runningskirts band spanking new yoga collection!

The flattering relaxed fit yoga pant fit like a dream!

It has an extra wide fold over waistband – so you can wear the pants with a high or low rise – it also comes with a snow leopard ribbon drawstring & hidden pocket.

The matching drawstring at the ankles give the pants an adjustable length & look. I enjoy the extra little bit of detail that isn’t too over the top, but it’s still functional!

I was also sent a top – the white performance lifestyle v-neck long sleeve – to be exact!

This long sleeve shirt is super soft & very comfortable.

It features an elastic waistband that is very flattering & offers two different looks for the top.

You can flip it under & wear it short or wear it long for extra coverage.

This outfit might be part of the new yoga line but you can totally wear it for any type of workout. I would wear these pants & the top to the gym or even to run outside!

Back to the gear, I really love the look & feel of this shirt – it’s basic but very functional.

It also has thumbholes – which I firmly believe every long sleeve shirt should have.

It also converts to hand warmer cuffs for extra coverage in the cold.

To complete my look, my outfit is topped off with a headband, in my favorite color – periwinkle.

The runningskirts logo ladies are reflective! Win!

RunningSkirts is my most favorite brand, hands down. They have been for three years now! A close second is Oiselle and I like InkNBurn, as well. All well made and very functional and cute! Loved all the pictures with this review!

A sleeve turning into a hand warmer cuff may be one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen. I’m always pulling & stretching my sleeves as long as they’ll go to keep warm on runs here in Boston! Thumb holes also instantly make a shirt a must-have.

It’s great that you’re back in a blog routine! Love reading your posts! What are you up to these days? Weren’t you working towards becoming a RD or earning a MA degree?

      Hey Lauren,
Thanks for the comment! I definitely agree that thumbholes are necessary in life! I am back in a blog routine & loving it! Glad you are enjoying reading my posts. I put the RD work on pause for a bit – will keep you posted! 🙂

Very cool feature – the hand warmer – so functional! Both pieces look very comfy –

Im still searching for my favorite brand. 🙂 I have certain pieces I love but its really really hard to find “plus size” workout clothes that are still technically appropriate ie not over-sized, thin, or heavy fabric nightmares. Unfortunately the brands that make them are usually cheap and I end up cycling through workout clothes like a maniac. I really look forward to the day I can shop the regular sizes and this isnt an issue but for now, Im still on the hunt! 🙂 Those look super comfy though!
