Why Limit Happy to an Hour?

I love this quote that I found over this past weekend because let me tell you, there was a whole lot of happy going on in Virginia!

why limit happy to an hour

When I last touched base on the blog on Saturday morning, I was about to go to brunch with my dad. He took me to a new {to me} spot in Vienna – The Virginian.

I went to grade school in this area and probably drove past this restaurant every day for 8 years but I had never gone before.

all day

It reminded me of a few places we go for breakfast down at the beach – it was cheap, quick & the food was good!

I got my favorite breakfast platter – 2 eggs over medium {white, not runny}, turkey sausage & home fries. It was delish – it was nice to be able to spend some extra time with my dad! eggs

Next I met up with Michele & Michelle – we had a date to get a mani/pedi & catch up! It was perfect timing for me, since I wanted a mani/pedi before our trip! Light grey fingers & hot pink toes for me!

Next up it was time to celebrate – 1) National Margarita Day {one day late} and 2) Michele 4 weeks away from becoming a mom to twin boys! The mom-to-be wanted Mexican so we headed over to Uncle Julio’s in Fairfax Corner.

Fish tacos were on my mind so that’s what I enjoyed.

We were physically unable to pass up dessert – so we enjoyed the Sopapillas & Cajeta combo. Sopapillas are my favorite – puffed Mexican pastries, cinnamon, powdered sugar and honey for dipping {kind of like donuts – LOVE!} A Cajeta is vanilla ice cream, toasted coconut, pecans, house-made caramel sauce and whipped cream on top. Can’t go wrong with that.

And here is a photo of Michele’s bump for your viewing pleasure. 4 more weeks to go!

And a photo of myself, Michele & Michelle in the bathroom mirror – because we are classy like that.

Love these ladies.

I ended up spending the night at Michelle’s house & I was so excited when I went into the guest room I would be staying in and she had set up a photo of us from my wedding. So sweet!

Here’s a closer look.

Spent the rest of the weekend just hanging out with my friends & enjoying some quality time together. It was a blast to go home this weekend & see everyone – we had so much fun & I got a few cute things for my upcoming trip this week! I miss Jackson already but I know he will be back in Philly with me before too long.

Off to catch up with the Hubs!

Stay tuned tomorrow for an update on my latest Stitch Fix!
