Baby Beach { & Pool! } Essentials

Summer just started and I’ve been lucky enough to have already spent some quality time down the shore. I spent LOTS of time finding some awesome gear for traveling with an infant & today I wanted to share with you my favorite picks for hitting up the beach {or pool!} with your little one.

Check out my favorite baby beach { & pool!} gear and let me know what you think! Also, if you have a product you love, please share with me as well!

Happy Monday!

Baby Beach and Pool Essentials

1- Adorable baby rash guards and swim trunks are necessary for any baby beach or pool experience. I’ve found cute ones all over but I love how these look, feel, and protect Brooks from the sun!

2- Bucket Hats {or adorable baby fedora’s} make anytime out in the sun more fun!

3- Hooded towels {especially ones that are cute sharks!} are so fun to have for any baby beach or pool experience!

4- Little baby flip-flops! Enough said!

5- I’m obsessed with these little baby sunglasses. They are so stinkin’ cute!

6- The Go Pod has been something Brooks JUST started using & he Loves it! It’s a portable activity seat for baby that is so easy to travel with – we have taking it to the beach and it’s just great. It folds up pretty small and you can attach toys to all different areas of it to entertain the little babe. {Plus it has two drink holder spots!} I foresee Brooks using this ALL Summer long!

7- This sunscreen has been great so far this Spring/Summer – I have two small containers of it that I always keep in my stroller baskets and a larger container that lives in the pool/beach bag. My pediatrician recommended it as safe for baby and I really enjoy this brand!

8- This portable sun shelter was such an awesome find – it folds up to about the size of an umbrella and when it’s put together {which takes 3 minutes to do!} it comfortably fits 2 large beach chairs in it. We have taken this to the beach as a little spot for Brooks to be protected from the sun. He has taken naps in it & I sit in there to feed him as well. It’s all sorts of awesome. We found ours at BJ’s for cheaper than I was able to find online {$39!} so definitely look around for a deal!

9- I’m loving this fun fish baby float with a canopy – we got it to use at the pool this summer and haven’t busted it out yet but we are planning to use it in the next week or so! This one is great because the canopy protects baby from the sun and there are two separate inflatable areas – one to keep the baby afloat and another area which creates a splashing area. Can’t wait for Brooks to use it, he’s going to love it!

Great stuff! Does Brooks keep the sunglasses on? I love the Go Pod!

NicSpang – he keeps them on when he is in his carrier but they pop off a bit in his stroller, they are still a little big, but he enjoys the sun blockage for sure!

It looks like that sunscreen has Octinoxate in it, which isn’t a very nice chemical. I like Lavanila sunscreen! But my doctor said no sunscreen on babies under 6 months…

Good to know Krista, thanks for the heads up, I’ll be sure to check that out.

I personally just wanted to cover my baby from any potential sun, even though he is younger than the recommended age. I figure some sunscreen a little early is better than a burn.
