Hawaii’s Baby & Toddler Cookbook: Recipes with Aloha for your Growing ‘Ohana Giveaway

So my mom’s cousin {Hi Christine! } lives in Hawaii. We’ve visited her and her family once after my graduation from college & my brother’s graduation from high school as a surprise trip from my parents. It was an amazing trip and Hawaii is most definitely a beautiful place –  {the trip was pre-blog so I don’t have any recap posts to share with you, sadly!}

Hawaii's Baby & Toddler Cookbook

Christine is friends with the author of Hawaii’s Baby & Toddler Cookbook: Recipes with Aloha for your Growing ‘Ohana. {cutest cookbook title ever!} She sent me a little care package for Brooks which included this book and some adorable {traditional} floral shirt and bottom and some kukui nut necklaces. Such a fun Hawaiian care package, not to mention the outfit is light, airy and perfect for summer!

Hawaii Outfit

This book could not have come at a more perfect time as we are just starting solids as a part of our plan to move forward with Baby Led Weaning. This cookbook is amazing because it breaks down food options & ideas by age – starting at 4-8 months First Foods, 8-10 months New Tastes & Textures, 10 months + Finger Foods, 18 months + Kid Snacks & Adult Apps and 2 Years + Toddler Meals. It has a wide variety of options for the different age ranges as your little one grows.

Brooks clearly thinks the book itself is delicious!

I love the idea behind it promoting the family meal as healthy & homemade experiences. It also gives great tips on food transitions, nutrition facts and preparing fresh meals for your growing little one.

Here is a little sneak peak at some of my favorite recipes from the book  – the cherry tomato bites & edamame risotto are seriously calling my name!

The book has great recipes for baby & adults! I can’t wait to cook from it for Brooks AND Charles and I, from what I’ve seen the recipes all look very tasty – it’s going to be fun to cook for everyone with a little Hawaiian flare in mind!

    I will be starting to introduce solids to my daughter in about two months and this cookbook would be awesome. I’ve been looking for some baby cookbooks and so far I haven’t found anything that I’m interested in but this looks wonderful and I’m definitely interested in trying out some of these recipes.
