Mizuno Wave Rider 18 Review

The following post is sponsored by FitFluential LLC on behalf of Mizuno.

All opinions are my own.

I’ve been working on picking up my running game & trying to embrace these beautiful fall days! There have been a few hot & muggy days out in Philadelphia recently, a little too hot for my taste, but the leaves have been changing colors and making their way to the ground, and the weather is cooling bit by bit, day by day -> its the best season to run, if you ask me! fall running

I’ve also been getting into a really great schedule with Brooks. We have more of a set nap schedule – still on 2 a day – but the rest of the time is for eating {aka playing with food} and playtime! Brooks also loves being outside so I’m happy to oblige him with a stroller ride and a run for me!

Everyone wins.

Extra motivation for me recently have been these new kicks that showed up on my doorstep!

The Mizuno Wave Rider 18 that just became available to purchase at the beginning of the month!

I was super excited a few months ago when I had the opportunity to try out {and review!} Mizuno’s new trail running shoe – the Wave Hayate – and now I’m even more pumped to try out their latest running shoe, made for neutral runners {with just enough support!}. I’m a big Mizuno fan!

Mizuno adopted the inspirational influence of the Japanese concept of “Hado,” the intrinsic vibrational life force energy that promotes powerful transformations. Hado is executed in the Wave Rider’s sleek, dynamic design relaying the power and kinetic energy of running, harnessing the transformative possibilities of every run.

newshoesI love the Wave Rider 18 shoes for a few reasons – first of all, the look is awesome. I’m obsessed with the ombre black to white look. I’m not normally one to like black shoes, but these are pretty awesome, especially with the teal detail. Also, these shoes are super lightweight and beyond comfortable. I put them on and headed out for a run and they fit like a dream.

I took these bad boys out the other day to complete the #run10feed10 challenge {WITH the stroller!} and they were awesome – and looked amazing too! I’m so excited to be sporting these shoes all.fall!

Let’s talk COLOR!

What’s your favorite color for running shoes?

I love bright & loud colors! So you can see me coming a mile away!

I am loving my Brooks Ravennas in a black/purple/neon yellow combo. I bought the same shoe in white/blue and it’s so meh in comparison.

My favorite shoe of all time (I’ve had 10 pairs and stockpile them) is the Zoot Ultra Kane. It’s a gray shoe with white and blue details, and while I prefer darker-colored shoes (like your gorgeous Wave Riders), the fit is so perfect that the color is immaterial.

Nice review…I ran my first couple of marathons in Mizunos and try them again now and then, but I couldn’t handle the change from Wave Inspire 6 to Wave Inspire 7 (really dating myself!). 😛

Love the shoe’s color and they look super comfy! I’ll keep them in mind for my next shoe buy!
