Nighttime Beauty Routine

I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for Colgate®. I received a product sample for this review and a promotional item to thank me for participating.

Ever since being pregnant I have gotten myself into a nice little routine every night. I shower {at night because by the end of the day, the baby has usually made a mess all over me}, wash my face, moisturize, floss and brush my teeth. It’s slowly turned into a nice little way for me to wind down at the end of the day and pamper myself a little. Sometimes I put on a face or hair mask, give myself a manicure or just turn on a candle for a little aromatherapy action.

But the brushing my teeth has always been the first thing I do when I wake up & the last thing I do before I go to bed. It’s my own little ritual. It’s weird but I sort of love it. I love the deep clean & tingly feeling of a minty fresh mouth. I go to my dentist regularly and I am always reminded to continue to use sensitive toothpaste and be proactive about caring for the enamel on my teeth.

A little Enamel 101 -> Enamel insulates and is the hard protector of your teeth, but it can chip and crack from daily use such as chewing, biting, crunching and grinding. Enamel is also the hardest substance in the human body, yet tiny bacteria living in our mouths produce acids which cause enamel to erode. Enamel is a strong barrier that shields the inner layers of your teeth from the effects of acids, plaques as well as cold and hot food and liquids. Once enamel is restored your body does not make more to replace it.

Luckily there is Colgate ® Enamel Health™, which helps sooth your enamel in two ways: It replenishes natural calcium to fill in rough spots AND it polishes enamel smooth so germs are less likely to stick.enamel health

I’ve always had issues with food and drink that are too hot or too cold and after ever visit to my dentist, she always sends me home with Colgate® after my cleanings so I was excited to give the new Enamel Health™ version of their toothpaste a try! It’s minty, foamy and leaves my mouth feeling like I just walked out of the dentist office. I also enjoy the fact that is cleaning and protecting my enamel while keeping my sensitive teeth in mind.

Side Note: Colgate ® Enamel Health™ comes in a Whitening & Sensitive variety – I can’t wait to give the other option a try, maybe I will do one in the morning and one at night to mix it up!

Now it’s your turn to share:
