Friday Favorites: Must Haves at the Beach with the Kids

This time every year I feel like I do this same post, because I come down to the beach this time every year and stay for a few weeks with the littles. And I really like to share what I am loving after putting it all to the test with a few beach days!

In the past I’ve shared my favorite baby beach essentials {back when it was just Brooks!}, and my beach favorites for baby + toddler {which was last year!}, this year I wanted to do a new list for the kids!

So depending on where you are in the whole #momlife thing – check out my older posts if you have younger littles and if you have older ones, I’d love to hear what they are loving on the beach too!

And since I’m a #boymom my picks are all blue, but most everything comes in a wide variety of colors and patterns, so be sure to check it out!

one / two / three / four / five / six / seven / eight / nine

one  – If you don’t already have a SportBrella – do yourself a favor and go pick one up! It’s amazing. Just like a umbrella, but massive – easy to carry, put up and take down – great for shade for the littles and even a spot for a nice beach nap! The blue one of this is currently at the best price I’ve seen for the summer – seriously, this thing is awesome!

two – Babiators are so amazing + adorable. The kids sometimes aren’t a fan of them until they need them from squinting in the sun. That’s what happened with Graham – he wouldn’t wear them until we came to the beach and he couldn’t see! Now he never takes them off! Check out little Brooks in them last summer!

three – you definitely need a cozy beach blanket for the littles to take a break on. This one is adorable – comes in all the colors!

four – Yup, I’ve got a wagon full of beach toys, but all my kids want to do is dig holes in the ground. Love this shovel – great for littles and adults to dig, dig dig!

five  – Can’t say enough good things about the Natives. I just bought Brooks his third pair, in the exact same color. Love the grey and the off white bottoms {they look less dirty} – these are great for hot summer days, water activities, splash pads and Graham has been wearing his at the beach because he hates stepping on rocks. Love.

six – Every kid needs a rash guard for the summer and these are my favorite. They are soft, light, comfortable, hold up really well and I love the hood too. The fun trunks are just cute – but they make these rash guards for girls too, definitely get one for your little!

seven – This wagon has been my savior the past two summers, can’t say enough good things about it! It’s not cheap, but it’s amazing. Folds flat and holds everything but most importantly, it is relatively easy to pull over the sand {depending on how much stuff you have in it!}

eight – My boys love sports, especially baseball this year. After a few days of Brooks wanting to play baseball constantly {which is hard to do when you are solo and making sure G doesn’t run into the water} we got this tee ball set and its been amazing. Both boys play with it {we got two bats} and they just over and over set the ball on the tee, hit it off. It’s amazing. Plus the beach is empty so they can hit it all over the place safely. Win.

nine – A toweling hoodie?! Yes please! Love the stars and its the perfect thing to cozy the littles up in after a fun day at the beach.

What are your favorite Beach Must Haves with kids {of any age!} I’d love to hear about it!
